Denis Guichot was born in Pau, in the South-West of France. He began photographing during his teens developing his b/w pictures at the local photo lab.

In 2002, he went back to studying and obtained his Arts Degree in Information and Communication from the University of Paris 8. He then attended various photography classes at the Atelier da Imagem, the foremost school of photography in Rio de Janeiro.

Denis was based in London, Paris and Rio de Janeiro before moving to the French cities of Lyon and currently Strasbourg. He has travelled extensively to South and Central America, India, the United States and Europe. Always keen on immersing himself in the culture of the places he visits, he attemps to present them from a fresh visual or cultural perspective.

He also is a qualified sustainable development advisor. Saving energy, limiting his impact from transportation, recycling material : Denis takes great care in making sure that his professional or personal activities have a minimal impact on the environment.

He's photographed for local as well international clients : local governments, Nobel Media, American Lawyer Magazine, UPM-Kymmene.
